Cashier RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

Duties

• Greet customers upon arrival
• Take customers’ food and drink orders in person and on the phone
• Operate cash register
• Collaborate with the kitchen staff for prompt and correct delivery of orders
• Memorizing the menu and recommend appetizers and meal add-ons
• Understand how to navigate the 287 Taco Shop app
• Resolve customer issues and/or report them to management promptly
• Organize and restock serving utensils, napkins and condiments
• Conduct routine facility inspections including the parking lot, restrooms, and patio to ensure cleanliness and a safety. 
• Accommodate kitchen staff with daily cleaning and prepping duties

Qualifications

• Bilingual a plus but not necessary!
• Prior experience in a food-serving establishment is helpful, but not necessary
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Highly developed interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems
• High level of stamina to work to work on feet for extended periods
• Possess a Food Handler Permit or obtain one within 10 days of employment (Paid for by 287 Taco Shop)

Expected Salary: $8 -$13 per hour depending on experience, plus weekly tips.
